Is Santorum a Theocrat? And Why it Matters to Women

Dateline March 14, 2011.  The results of the Alabama and Mississippi primary elections which were held yesterday make us stop and think:  what is Rick Santorum’s appeal to Republican voters?  His voting record in the Senate of the U.S. Congress is not as a true conservative would vote.  A lot of Pennsylvania conservative voters didn’t like him.  He was not returned to office by his constituents in Pennsylvania in the 2006 election, having served from 1995 to 2007; prior to that he served in the House of Representatives from 1991 to 1995 from Pennsylvania’s 18th District.  So what is the appeal?  It is his religious talk and courage of his convictions.  He appeals to the Republican Party’s base of evangelical Christians.

If you listen to his campaign speeches, Santorum is firm and definite in his statements about contraception (against it), same genders marrying (against that), public funding of Planned Parenthood (even though it is very little and specific in benefits), and on and on about social issues most Americans thought had been settled decades ago.

Are you a woman between the ages of 18 and 50? Those are the child-bearing years.  Rick Santorum believes as the Catholic Church teaches that sexual intercourse is for procreation, not to be enjoyed at any time except to make babies. That’s as adult as I can say it.  It doesn’t matter, however, if you are not Catholic.  He will dictate to you what you can have in the way of personal and private freedom in this country if he is elected President of the United States.  And especially if he has a Republican Senate to support his plans.

Are you aware of all this?  Are you a registered voter?  If you aren’t—you’d better high-tail it down to your state’s board of elections office and do so as soon as possible.  You may have missed your state’s primary election already or the cut-off time to register for the primary.  But it is not too late to register for the Presidential (General) Election in November—although you may have to wait for the registration period—check it out right away!

You don’t believe me?  I wrote the book Democracy vs. Theocracy: the President and the Senate Will Decide YOUR FUTURE.  I urge you to read it.  The plans for making America into a Christian Theocracy have been in the making since the late Rev. Jerry Falwell began the Moral Majority and then the Christian Coalition in the 1970’s…forty years ago.  In the book I document what he and others have said and planned—cited their words and works.  Rick Santorum as the Christian conservative running for President is the beneficiary of those plans to make America a theocracy.  But he can’t do it alone unless he has a Republican-led Senate to appoint and confirm any new U.S. Supreme Court justices.   That’s how it works.  The president nominates and the Senate holds hearings and then either confirms or denies the candidate to be appointed by the president.

Get involved, Young Woman!  It is YOUR FUTURE!
